Why we wanted so much? Because although it is a city that does not usually attract especially for its tourist interest nor is it especially large (1.7 Million Inhabitants), it is the most "Spanish" of the European capitals in terms of ambient. Clover, its beautiful flag, the Temple Bar, the Guiness ... are many of the icons of a city that has many other attractions. Among them the great love of a sport, the RUGBY, of which Bego is very fond of, that even I practice of younger, and to which we had the privilege of accessing his show in the inauguration of the Six Nations of 2009 in one of the best possible matches: Ireland - France.
Escape the routine It is something that is priceless. And although on Friday we both worked until noon, on Thursday we had everything ready to face a new adventure through the capitals of Europe. Ready suitcase, guides, tickets to the game, cash (in Ireland they use euros, so !! no exchange problems !!), compact camera, gorillapod, ...
We have finally decided, and on this trip a new companion comes with us: The Nikon D60 with two objectives (a VR 18-55 and a 55-200). Without much weight, comfortable to use ... The perfect complement for travel.
As we have spoken in the PREPARATIONS, we have divided the 4 days into several zones. The first one will arrive and we will move to Celtic Lodge, accommodation for our stay in Dublin. The second will focus on the North Zone of the River Liffey, in the surroundings of O'Connell Street and the Jameson factory to end at the height of the trip, Croke Park and Ireland - France. On the third day we will see the most touristic Dublin, the South Zone of the River Liffey, the Temple Bar, Trinity College, La Guiness, etc ... Finally, we leave for the last day one of the prisons with the greatest history in the world: Killmainhall Gaol.
In the PREPARATIONS We also talked about the fact that it always rains in Ireland, but it is not particularly cold (partly calmed by that rain). Well, we must have chosen the date. !! Cold and snow awaits us !! On Tuesday and today they have suspended flights to Dublin Airport and last weekend they were suspended in London. We touch wood.
Do we carry everything? Yes! We are ready. More tomorrow
