He saidJorge Sanchez what Around the World is the most beautiful trip there is for all that entails. No matter how you do it, when you use days and whatever your route is ... Around the World is what makes people complete, such as planting a tree, writing a book and having a child.Jorge Sanchez It has been a great support to design ours, along with the great Floren, and we couldn't stop thanking him and telling him from here that we look forward to his new book, coincidentally his "Around the world by the South Seas".

Taxi to Haneda Airport - Terminal I (9,470 YEN, there are not many more options at this time). 4 am. We start ...

Many days ago we left of that corner in the A Coruña Airport, a small airport that seems giant compared to many of those we have spent these days. Today the adventure ends, and it is possible that a lot of time will pass to repeat something similar ... or maybe never. However, when they ask us for that most incredible and exciting journey that we have done, from our lips it will come out in unison ... OUR HONEY SUN. Noooooo I want to go! Let me Paulaaa

He Haneda International airport is smaller than Narita airport We have used so far on our flights to / from Japan. After billing directly to A Coruña (we fly with the British Airways and allow it) and have a quiet breakfast (1,230 YEN), we wait more than 12 hours to London, another 1 hour and a half to Madrid and one last hour to our destination ...

It is at this moment, when we almost unwittingly realize what we have done. We look at the map and rub our eyes. !! Our FIRST ROUND THE WORLD! It is true that a particular round the world by the South Seas, a very different from the one we would have raised in the beginning. They say that there are no two alike, it is impossible that there is anyone in the world who has done exactly ours, going through the Vanuatu, Solomon, Fiji, Tuvalu, Tonga, Samoa, Kiribati ...

It's time to look back at end of Route 66 in Santa Monica and its special spell. We had arrived via London, and there it all began.

The first phase of the trip led us to a really different area of the planetThey also say that the authentic Oceania, the oldest and still has its most entrenched customs. We were in the Melanesia.

We would reach that same night Tanna Island, an island anchored in time, with hardly any roads, taken from the best adventure books ...

... and we would sleep next to the bay that Cook would discover hundreds of years ago, during navigators, where we Spaniards were the greatest ...

The Land of Enhahi is a land of mystery, dark places and volcanic black earth. Inland we would receive a hospitality worthy of happiest country in the world, Vanuatu.

But "the mysterious island" could not be such without a "giant" that dominated it. This one has a name, Yasur volcano, and climbing to its top caused us an experience only comparable to the fear felt days later ...

The volcano's explosions became peaceful in our back to Efate and their beautiful Melé waterfalls, which also represented a perfect contrast to the hustle and bustle of the markets or the seafront promenade of Port Vila,

After a great improvisation and detour on our route, and a strong tremor of Guadalcanal, we reach in our odyssey the privileged lagoon of Marovoin full Solomon Islands, where we would spend a few days.

Fiji, our "hub" in this part of the planet, and its Suva capital, it would be the last part of this first phase of the trip, where we would attend for the first time the great ceremony of Kava in a truly authentic interior village.

We enter Polynesia, and with it another great experience, to achieve the most isolated country in the world, the Boomerang island of Tuvalu, his peculiar way of life ...

… A country where bikes and motorcycles are the main attraction. Where there are no cinemas, no amenities, not even almost a place to stay, but where its people welcomed us with open arms ...

... and where we had some of the most beautiful sunsets of the immense Pacific Ocean that Vasco Nuñez de Balboa once saw, and Alvaro de Mendaña, Fernández de Quirós and company would sail with great success ...

"Madness" and a promise would lead us to reach the high islands of Tonga, Vava 'u, the jellyfish archipelago, where we would find the island of a picturesque hermit ...

There we would shelter for a few days, we would rest from the trot of a tired journey, we would enjoy your pleasures, your hospitality and your cabin ...

... hoping that the day will finally come where a mother and a baby would share their lives with us for a while. !!We swam with Yubarta whales!! A unique experience in the world ...

... and we would explore more of the depth of its seas, that we would already start with the Solomon Islands Diving (reaching 30 meters), but that here we would draw formations in really impressive caves.

We would not leave Tonga without going through its small main island, Nuku'alofa, and another spectacle of nature, the Blow Holes of its rugged coastline

Samoa and the green island of Upolu They invited us to know why Robert Louis Stevenson would choose it as his treasure island. We also saw the first Bahai temple of the few in the world.

A Polynesian town where agriculture forms a large part of its maintenance and subsistence, in a place on the planet that has difficult resources, much seismic activity and great misfortunes for tsunamis, the most recent in 2009 ...

And in Savai'i, the other great island that forms the country, we would dare to another great deed. Among the dense jungle and accompanied by two locals we reach the Cradle of the Polynesian Civilization, Pulemelei

Nature would also be cruel to Savai'i long ago, and lava still covers the landscapes in less graceful areas

But it would be inTarawa Island, in which history would once hold one of its cruelest chapters, where we would see the saddest part ...

… a overpopulated country like Kiribati, who lives among mountains of garbage, ignorant of his uncertain future under the waters ...

... but where as in many other places on the planet where money has not wreaked havoc, its people, its children, receive us in the most affectionate way ...

... a place and I was working in the middle of the Gilbert Islands, that for better or for worse, we will carry in our hearts forever, although before coming we did not know or place it on a map.

Something told us it was time to go back to the civilization we know, although something transformed, something different. Australia fell in love with us since we entered its borders, in Sydney ...

Great walks and gardens, a beautiful bay, an optimistic city, its bridges and some strange guests called Ibis who live together without flinching ...

And a very different sunset, surrounded by areas that have grown around a different idea, and that make Sydney a very friendly city

Sydney would also serve as a basis for meeting a great unknown and capital of Australia, Canberra

Although, without a doubt, the best moment of the city of Sydney It happened when the sun said goodbye and everything lit up, leaving photos to remember ...

... and others to frame, with the main background icons, such as the great Opera that we all recognize by seeing quickly

A fleeting step brought us closer to another really special experience. We had in our arms, near Brisbane, a "lazy bear" called Koala

... and we were able to feed from our own hands to those cute kangaroos that we had never seen before "in person."

If Europe, the United States and Australia are considered three of the great Western civilizations that exist today, with their similarities and differences, the fourth that could not be missing was the Japanese. Tokyo served as a last stop really varied on a dream trip, before the call from home claimed us.

Today all this is left behind. Have passed 61,000 minutes from that first café at the A Coruña Airport. Have been over 65,000 km (the perimeter of the land is about 40,000 km) and 10 countries . We used 8 different currencies, caught 32 flights, crossed all the meridians of the planet and tight budget to be able to return.

At the time of writing these lines We are already at Heathrow Airport, !! having breakfast again !! (GBP 3.44). It is what has to go around the world towards the West, that now we are recovering hours, those that we lost DAY 4 that never existed in our lives. It is a shame not to be able to go down to enjoy some of the museums in London that we like so much and that do not require a high budget to fit.

It is possible that a trip like this is an utopia, of those that you are only capable of dreaming and that, if they happen, only do it once in a lifetime, but that already comes with us forever.

There is something we will never stop repeating, the best moment of a trip is the return home, the love of yours, hugs already forgotten, that potato omelette always waiting. That moment came finally at 20.30 on this day 43 travel, after the longest journey of the entire epic.

¿But what happened that July 14, end of our flashback, that changed our lives so much? A trip ends, but before leaving for this Honey Sun, another journey had begun, the journey of life, which has no planning or possible diary. A trip that will be the subject of another story ... one of those complexes to summarize. !! See you forever South Seas!!

Paula and Isaac, already from A Coruña (Spain)
